Cap and Porter – In the Studio
Songwriting takes time and patience, requires self-endurance and as an artist, is everything. Once you dive in you got to keep moving at a constant and comfortable speed. Minds are like flowers. If you let it sit there without soaking anything up, it will dry up. Not to say that you can’t invigorate your mind again, but stepping away from the process makes it harder to do so. Once you begin working on a song, you can latch onto ideas rather quickly. The more you continuously work, the stronger you become.
I had the pleasure of meeting and working with Ryan Porter this past weekend, joined by my good friend Cap. Cap introduced me to Ryan, and man am I impressed with his writing! Ryan’s beats are refreshingly good. He’s definitely got it down to a science. I’m excited about working with these guys – my ears dilate more each time I hear something new!
Cap’s lyrical marvel is in the works – and I’m looking forward to helping put it all together!
